    Volunteers are the heartbeat of the Crafts Center. It’s a fun way to spend time in an inspiring environment while helping to promote the mission of the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi.   • Provides training for new volunteers.

    Serves as a mentor to new volunteers-in-training.

    Has acquired the skills and knowledge to perform any volunteer position.

  • Answering and directing calls

    Taking messages, sending messages to voice mail

    Keeping log of visitors, making copies of log template

    Keeping track of brochures, reordering them, organizing the brochure stand

    Providing information about the Guild, greeting and directing guests

    Keeping track of current Guild events, providing information

    Making reminder phone calls to other volunteers who are assigned projects for the following day

    Returning phone calls with simple inquiries

    Keeping the information desk tidy

    Making sure that the coffee area is organized and clean

    Performing other assigned duties

  • Greeting and directing guests

    Providing information about the Guild and the event

    Host/Hostess duties preparing food and beverages, serving the guests

    Decorating and clean up

    Other assigned duties

    * In-house Senior Event Assistant – manages check-in of other volunteers, explains the task at hand, assigns duties
